Sheet Metal Fabricator - Shop

Twin City Sheet Metal is looking to add an experienced shop fabricator position. This position will enhance and supplement our current shop team tasked with producing ductwork and other related HVAC products. The employee we seek will be able to hit the ground running with minimal instruction.

Two years direct sheet metal production shop experience is required for this position to include knowledge and use of sheet metal fabrication equipment, have existing knowledge of duct and HVAC component fabrication and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Employees are expected to be very safety conscious, have a good attitude, be able to lift at least 50 pounds, be willing to learn and adapt, have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and to have respect for coworkers and customers.

The position is located in Brewer Maine. This is a full time 40 hour per week position with opportunities for overtime. A variety of benefits are available after a wait period including life, disability, dental, and health insurances, paid holidays and vacations. Pay will depend on experience. Sheet Metal Worker - Field

We have openings for field mechanics with 10 years plus direct experience, and Field Installers with 3 years plus experience. Both positions require OSHA construction 10 course passing within 3 months of full-time employment. Experienced Field Mechanics – 10 years direct experience with HVAC ductwork installation. This position is a job site working foreman position. Travel may be required depending on job location. Employee needs to be familiar with all phases of the trade. Duties to include, but not limited to:
• Be very motivated, extremely safety conscious and actively address safety issues
• Provide job site coordination, ordering and scheduling of shop fabricated products, and interact with Mechanicals and general contractors.
• Read and interpret specifications and blueprints, layout, assemble, install sheet metal products and equipment related to commercial and residential construction HVAC systems.
• Train, supervise, and mentor installers and helpers when present on site.

Experienced Field Installers – 3 years direct experience with HVAC ductwork installation. This position is a job site installation position. Travel may be required depending on job location. Employee needs to be familiar with all phases of the trade. Duties to include, but not limited to:
• Be very motivated, extremely safety conscious and actively address safety issues.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, layout, assemble, install sheet metal products and equipment
• Installing ductwork and other metal parts to include measuring, cutting, bending, and forming metal components.
• Identify material and layout, work well with coworkers and other trades
• Take instruction and be able to work independently.
